So you want your character to be something other then human? That's awesome! But there's a few things we want to make clear.

Your character must be a peaceful type of person. You can be something a bit nasty but keep in mind limitations..
Because the town is based off the idea that to pay back the 3 centuries of good fortune bestowed upon Clary-Sage, evil dopplegangers of all the people living there exist and sometimes show up, you can't be a full out evil being to begin with, can you?

You can, however, find ways around it to be something a bit on the nasty side but without influence from it..

For example:

"The Evoker" is played by someone who has decided he is a Dhampir (a halfblooded vampire).
When asked about how that works, we got a VERY good reply:

"A dhampir is the son of a vampire. Following gypsy lore he or she is born with some traits of a vampire, but is not affected by sunlight, blood lust or disgust for the human race. They were used as vampire hunters in ancient times because they had the ability to be able to SEE a vampire in a crowd where humans would only see a crowd of people. They can also see demons and other nasty things that walk on a plane adjacent to ours.

They CAN drink blood if they wish to but it isn't necessary.

The Evoker does not drink blood. He sometimes feels a bit of desire to when faced with an open wound but no more then you or I would want to eat a cookie if a plate of them were nearby.

He does see demons but as Clary-Sage is rather well protected by such things, his sightings are fleeting, not to mention fe and far between."

The player for the Evoker has successfully portrayed their character as something other then human WITHOUT turning them into an all powerful and magical being. The Evoker is not fully human, but is only a few steps above the human race all things considered.

So please! Feel free to apply for otherworldly characters, but try and keep in mind that this is NOT a contest for who's the most powerful person in Clary-Sage and that evil characters must only be applied for in Doppleganger form.
